The Damiki Hydra Evolution is a soft plastic spider grub that is commonly used to imitate the action of small crayfish or other forage fish as they crawl along the bottom. The Hydra Evolution incorporates the popular Hydra design and adds twin tail legs to it. The addition of the twin tail imparts a lot of action and water movement to the bait. The Hydra Evolution can be utilized in shallow or deep water and is applicable for numerous techniques. One such use is paired with a football jig head. When rigging with the football jig head the most effective method of retrieval is simply dragging it along the bottom allowing the bait's appendages to move freely. During the winter and early spring months this technique can be deadly. |
